Rear Projection Interactive Whiteboards
Since the evolution of Interactive Plasma Displays, most manufacturers have discontinued the production of Rear Projection Interactive Whiteboards. Please look at our collection of Interactive Plasma Displays if you need a high quality display or if you do not want to use a projector with your interactive whiteboard.

Electronic Copyboards
Electronic copyboards look just like regular whiteboards but have the ability to print out what is drawn after the presentation. The copyboard prints onto A4 paper that can be handed out to people attending your presentation. The built-in printer sits just under the copyboard and most copyboards can optionally be connected to computers. The whiteboard images can be downloaded to the computer and printed, saved, changed, faxed and emailed.

Black & White Copyboards
Electronic copyboards look just like regular whiteboards but have the ability to print out what is drawn after the presentation. With a black & white copyboard, you can only capture a black & white image of the whiteboard screen. The b & w copyboard prints onto A4 paper in black & white that can be handed out to people attending your presentation. The built-in printer sits just under the copyboard and most copyboards can optionally be connected to computers. The whiteboard images can be downloaded to the computer and printed, saved, changed, faxed and emailed.

Color Copyboards
Electronic copyboards look just like regular whiteboards but have the ability to print out what is drawn after the presentation. With a color copyboard, you can capture a color image of the whiteboard screen. The color copyboard prints onto A4 paper in color that can be handed out to people attending your presentation. An external or built-in printer can be used. Most copyboards can optionally be connected to computers. The whiteboard images can be downloaded to the computer and printed, saved, changed, faxed and emailed, all in color. Obviously, the color copyboards cost more than the black & white copyboards.

Interactive Panels
Interactive panels, when connected to your desktop / notebook computer and a projector, allow you to face your audience whilst you control, edit and annotate computer applications directly from the interactive panel. As you are used to writing normally with a pen on paper, then using the cordless pen you simply write or draw directly onto the screen in the same way. There is no keyboard or mouse to worry about, as the pen acts as the mouse. Using an interactive panel is very similar to using an interactive whiteboard, except the panels are usually 15", 17" or 18" in size.

Multimedia Projectors
A multimedia projector takes the image that is normally displayed on a computer screen and projects it onto a large white projector screen. This allows everything that would appear on the computer screen to be seen by everyone in the room. Projectors are called "multimedia" projectors because you can also use them with an audio/visual source such as a video recorder, DVD player or satellite system. Consider the following when buying a multimedia projector.

Projection Screens
In the case of front projection interactive whiteboards the presenter does not have to look into the projector light when speaking to the audience and the presenter also does not cast a shadow on the board. The disadvantage is that these systems are usually 5 times more expensive than front projection whiteboards. They also take up more room as the back is bulkier due to housing the projector. As for front projection interactive whiteboards, the projector sits in front of the whiteboard and projects the computer image on the whiteboard. They are also lighter than the rear projection and have bigger screen sizes than the plasma overlays.

Dry Erase Boards
The dry erase board is a white note board named for its ability to be erased with a dry tissue, board eraser, or any soft dry material such as a paper towel or cloth. The secret is in the boards special dry-erase markers that can be easily wiped clean without water or rubbing. If a regular marker or pen is used on a dry-erase board it will not come off without water and will likely stain. Only dry-erase markers should be used.
