Surface acoustic wave touch screen monitor is made using ultrasonic wave technology over the touch screen panel. Technically, the acoustic waves are sent across the display panel with a series of reflectors and transducers, invisibly creating a grid across the touch screen panel which can't be seen with a naked eye.
Surface acoustic wave display provides perfect image clarity because it uses pure glass construction. Apart from its superior image clarity, the resolution and light transmission is also higher as compare to other monitors. It's designed originally for ATMs, kiosks, amusement parks and banking applications. Basically, it is made especially for places where there can be lots of visitors everyday or in an area that consider not to be harmful for SAW touch screen monitor. The interactive acoustic wave touch screen might be use for a photo booth or hospital environment as well. These displays exist only in smaller screens and may not easily to be found in screen sizes over 30 inches.
